American Education Week

What is American Education Week? American Education Week--November 18-22, 2019 will provide a wonderful opportunity to celebrate public education and honor individuals who are making a difference in ensuring that every child receives a quality education.

What is Happening at SFES During American Education Week?

Students will be engaging in instruction just as they would every other week throughout the school year. Parents are invited to join the class to get a better understanding of what your child’s day looks like and feels like. Please note that siblings will not be able to visit the classrooms as instruction and learning are still our priority during this week.

Parents are also encouraged to join your child during their lunch time. We are providing the lunch schedule for your use:

To allow our classroom instruction to continue during American Education Week, we are asking visitors to adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Only adult family members are permitted to visit during the school day.
  • Siblings are not permitted in the classrooms.
  • Cell phones and other forms of technology should be silenced and put away. If you need to make a call, please do so in the front lobby.
  • The HCPSS Student and Parent Handbook prohibits visitors from photographing students during the school day. You may only photograph you own child(ren), but it is our preference that you do not photograph in the classroom.

Thank you for joining us! We hope that you enjoy your visit and learn something new!
