From the Principal

The first quarter of the school year has gone by quickly and it has been an exciting and productive time.  Our students are into the second marking period.  Parents are meeting with their child’s teacher during parent conferences next week and, the Thanksgiving holiday is less than a week away!

As I reflect on the many things for which I am thankful, I want to take this opportunity to share just a few of them with you. I am thankful for our students who come to school every day ready to learn – they give us all a daily reminder of what is important and why we are here.

I am thankful for the teachers and support staff who really care about students’ social/emotional well-being and achievement, and have the best interests of our students at heart.  Our staff takes each child’s educational accomplishments personally.  They spend countless hours before and after school doing the extra things that few people see but make all the difference for the children they teach.

I am thankful for the support of parents in creating an outstanding partnership for our students. You allow us to be part of your children’s lives, which is an amazing honor and a tremendous privilege.

We have much to be thankful for at Stevens Forest Elementary School and much to look forward to in the days and years ahead.

Happy Thanksgiving!
