Health Check Reminders

Sat, 02/27/2021 - 2:14pm

We are excited to welcome students back to in-person instruction at Stevens Forest Elementary. As a reminder, parents/guardians are to perform a health check every day before the student leaves home to ensure they are healthy enough to attend in-person instruction.

  • 1 of the following:
    • New onset cough, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing
    • New loss of taste or smell

OR

  • 2 of the following:
    • Fever over 100.4 or chills within the past 24 hours
    • Fatigue
    • Muscle or body aches
    • Headache
    • Sore throat
    • Congestion or runny nose
    • Chills or shaking chills
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Diarrhea

Please keep them home!

If we see them in the health room and they complain of any of the above symptoms, they will be sent home to quarantine for 14 days.  At that time, they can attend school virtually but they will not be allowed back in the classroom/building until we receive a negative Covid test or 14 days. Many of these symptoms are similar to seasonal allergy symptoms.  Even if you believe your child’s symptoms are seasonal allergy related, please follow the guidelines above and keep them home and attend school virtually until the symptoms subside. Together we can keep our community healthy and our school open during these Covid times.

Thank you for assisting us in our efforts to support the safety of all of our students and staff who are returning to SFES and for your continued support and understanding during this time.
