Your child will participate in the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) in mathematics and reading this winter. MAP is an untimed computer-adaptive assessment that measures student growth and achievement, independent of grade level or age.
Students in grades 1 and 2 will take MAP in the fall, winter, and spring. For grades 3-5 students will take MAP in the fall and winter, but not in the spring due to the MCAP assessment. Make Ups will be given if your child/ren is absent on the day the assessment is given.
The only preparation needed from parents/guardians is to ensure that your child gets a good night’s sleep and has a healthy breakfast the morning of the assessment.
