Casey Schurman, EdD, NBCT

Dr. Casey Schurman is joined the Stevens Forest community after spending 16 years at Bollman Bridge Elementary School. At Bollman Bridge, she had worked as a 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade teacher as well as a Title I Interventionist and Special Education Team Leader. Dr. Schurman believes strongly in diversity, equity, and inclusion and completed her doctoral dissertation, at Johns Hopkins University, around building cultural competence with early career teachers. In her free time, Dr. Schurman enjoys spending time with her dog Dozer, volunteering with Tru Rescue, gardening, traveling, and cheering on the Orioles and Ravens. Dr. Schurman is extremely excited to join the Stevens Forest community, so please be sure to say hello and introduce yourself when you see her.
