We are excited to have been selected as one of the six Elementary School Model schools this year. This new model incorporates full-day prekindergarten for eligible students along with world language instruction for all students. In addition, the model incorporates departmentalization into two daily instructional blocks in Grades 1 through 5, which allows teachers to develop deeper, more enriching instruction across their focus content areas.

The new model also includes other initiatives such as strengths development into each student’s academic experience, and an exciting partnership with the Howard County Health Department that expands existing school health services through technology to maximize instructional time.
