Are you interested in working as a Lunch/Recess Monitor at SFES? A Lunch/Recess monitor position is available!  In addition, we are always in seach of Lunch/Recess monitor substitutes.

A Lunch/Recess Monitor assists and monitors students during the lunch and recess periods each day. Monitors work three hours each day, Monday – Friday, approximately 11:00-2:00pm.  Monitors earn an hourly rate of pay of $11/hr.

Ideal candidates for this position will demonstrate skills in each of the following areas:

• Building respectful relationships with all children
• Supporting students to organize and play recess games, kindly and safely
• Mediating peer conflict
• Supporting students as they develop skills to meet behavioral expectations
• Commanding groups of students, especially when lining up and transitioning between activities (entering the building, walking in the hallway, entering the kitchen area, cleaning-up, and exiting the cafeteria)
• Responsibility for regular, daily attendance and punctuality

Lunch/Recess Monitors are expected to maintain a professional attitude toward their work and support the mission and goals of the school system.

Lunch/Recess Monitors are temporary employees and receive no benefits.
