American Education Week

American Education Week is recognized the week of November 12-16. During this week, SFES students are engaged in a variety of activities to highlight our instructional program.  Your child’s teacher will inform you of any special events that will take place that week.

Fall into Math Challenge

A Fall into Math Challenge came home in your child's Friday folder today, Friday November 2nd. Each grade's challenge has 9 problems inside leaves. Students may show their work on the back and write each answer in the corresponding leaf. Complete and return the math challenge by Friday November 30th to earn a special prize and to get your name on the bulletin board outside of the cafeteria.  Please contact your child's teacher if you have any questions. The Book Fair is coming soon!

Our Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that brings the books kids want to read right into our school.  It’s a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level.  Please make plans to visit our Book Fair and be involved in shaping your child’s reading habits.  Your child will have the opportunity to preview the fair and create a wish list.   Also, each student will receive a Scholastic Book fair flier highlighting some of the amazing book titles available for purchase.

Book Fair dates/Shopping hours:
November 12th - 16th 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Early Dismissal Dates
November 19th and 20th 8:30 A.M. - 5:15 PM & 6:00 - 7:30 PM.  (The Book Fair will close from 5:30-6:00 PM on both days)
 If you are unable to attend the Fair in person, we invite you to visit our online Book Fair.   Our Online Fair is available from November 7 to November 20.
