As we have experienced this week with our two hour delay and snowy Friday; winter weather has arrived. Our families are reminded that in emergency situations, including inclement weather, information will be shared with the community through the HCPSS status website, HCPSS homepage, HCPSS Information Hotline at 410-313-6666, and HCPSS News email and text message alerts. Please ensure you have opted into texts to receive emergency messages.
If schools close early for inclement weather, a power failure, or any other emergency, your child will be sent home according to the information in your Family File. An Unscheduled Early Closing is not the same as a regularly scheduled 3-hour early dismissal. Before and After Care programs do not operate when there is an Unscheduled Early Closing.
Please take a moment to log into your HCPSS Connect Account: Go to your "Family File", click on "Arrival/Departure", and make sure the Unscheduled Early Closing Information is correct. If you have not submitted your student’s Family File, it is important that you complete and submit it now! It's also important that you discuss the emergency plan with your child so they are aware.
