As of Monday, February 11, Howard County public schools have been closed due to inclement weather on four days this school year: November 15, January 14 and 30, and February 11. Interim Progress Reports

Interim progress reports were issued on March 6 to all students. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents and families to sit with their student to discuss strengths and areas for growth as we head towards the last quarter of the year. Please reach out to teachers to discuss any questions or concerns.

Spring Forward

It looks like we may be turning the corner, with Spring only a couple of weeks away. Daylight savings time begins this Sunday, March 10. Please be sure to set your clocks forward and make the necessary adjustments to bedtime for your child.

PTA International Night

The PTA International Night was a big success last night! This event was well attended. Thank you to all of the families and community members who shared a special dish and/or displayed an artifact that represents your culture. It was truly amazing to see so much support from the SFES community!

Maryland Integrated Science Assessment

The 5th grade students will be taking the MISA (Maryland Integrated Science Assessment) next week. Students will be engaged in taking this assessment between 11:15 AM -1:00 PM on March 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th.
