We were very pleased with our first full week of distance learning. Students have been doing a great job adjusting to this new model of learning! We enjoyed “seeing” students in their virtual check-ins and hearing about their success with Lexia and DreamBox. The students were also excited to share some of the other activities they completed throughout the week.
We know this distance learning model has required a lot of support from parents. We appreciate all the assistance you have provided to your child. We are hopeful that each week students will become more and more independent in logging on to Canvas and working through the daily activities. Please be sure to read Canvas announcements and emails from your child’s teacher so you don’t miss out on important information.
We are especially proud of our Stevens Forest staff! Distance learning has been a huge shift for our teachers and they really miss seeing your children in our school building. They have spent hours and hours training for this new model and they have accomplished a lot in the past few weeks. It is extremely satisfying for them to see their students in the virtual check-ins and observe the progress being made in Lexia and DreamBox. Next week during Staff Appreciation Week is the perfect time to recognize the teaching staff for their tremendous amount of work. You couldn’t ask for a more dedicated group of teachers. We are very proud of their accomplishments!
Continue to stay safe and be well.
